As a child, I already held a fascination for words and books. A great-uncle read to me and taught me to read before I started to school. I grew up to become a School Media Specialist with B.S., M.Ed., and Ed.S. degrees in Library Media. The best part of my job was sharing exciting, quality books with children.
One day I decided to
write books of my own. I now have five published books with more on the way. When I’m not writing, I teach a class, “Writing For Children,” to adults at the University of Georgia. I also teach at writing conferences and workshops. One of my most enjoyable activities, however, is going into schools and sharing my books with young people.
